Reporting bugs

If you never reported a bug to an open source community, please read Simon Tatham's How to Report Bugs Effectively. The actual reporting is done in our bug tracker at SourceForge. In addition to Simon's HOWTO, it is essential, that if you file a bug, you actually have a working email notification at SourceForge in order to get notified when something changes in your bug report. In the past, there have been bug reports where the original reporter never responded to further questions - most likely, because they used some trash mail address when registering at SourceForge. At least make shure, that you regulary visit your report after submitting it. If you are not shure, what info is needed for your report, ask on the mailing list.
